At DF Electric, we are working towards a more connected, efficient and people-centred industry. Today, we are sharing a new milestone: we are finalists in the fifth edition of the Advanced Manufacturing Awards, the awards for talent, industrial innovation and improvements across the entire value chain.
We are presenting “The factory of the future: smart, digital and human”. With our entry, we showcase the digital transformation of our electrical protection manufacturing plant and the work of our team.

We integrate planning, production, quality, maintenance and logistics into a single system. We connect shop floor data with our everyday decisions to better coordinate machines, materials, people and deadlines.

We invest in digitalisation and automation with a shared goal: to manufacture better products and make work easier for our people. We put this into practice throughout our plant.
01 / CONNECTED PRODUCTION
We make decisions with data
We plan in real time and use overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) indicators to allocate resources and improve our production.
02 / INTEGRATED QUALITY
We inspect 100%
We have digitalised 800 manufacturing guidelines and automated inspections using machine vision, X-rays and gauges.
03 / AUTOMATION
We reduce changeover times
With inkjet marking, we have cut marking changeovers from 5–10 minutes to 30 seconds and colour changes from 15–20 minutes to 30 seconds.
04 / PEOPLE
We make work easier
We provide access to digital documentation on the shop floor, train our teams and reduce paper use and manual data entry.
05 / ROBOTICS
We integrate robotics
We integrate three robots into an automated assembly line to handle components, reduce processing times and adapt material movements with greater flexibility.
06 / IDENTIFICATION
Laser and inkjet marking
We use laser and inkjet technology to identify our components. With laser marking, we eliminate inks and solvents and achieve consistent markings.

We move towards excellence.
We improve manufacturing and delivery times, align procurement with our needs and reduce work in progress. We continue to invest in knowledge and technology to improve how we manufacture every day.
